AMLC is proud to be recognized as one of Canada's Best Law firms for 2025 by The Globe and Mail and Statista for the second year in a row! The final list recognizes only 200 firms in 31 different practice areas across the country.

The aim of the report is to determine which law firms in Canada are held in the highest esteem by their colleagues. The award is based on over 10,000 recommendations collected from peers and clients.

Meet Danielle, our new Associate

AMLC is pleased to announce that Danielle Wierenga has joined the firm as an associate.

Danielle was called to the bar on September 11, 2024. During her articles, she gained experience in civil and commercial litigation, including contractual disputes, corporate and administrative law. 

Danielle has an undergrad from UBC with a major in international relations and completed her law degree at Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie. She also has a specialization certificate in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law from Schulich. 

We are excited to have Danielle as a member of the team!

Wes is back from sabbatical!

We are pleased to welcome Wes McMillan back to the office after an eight month sabbatical.

Wes' sabbatical was in the works for over three years, and was facilitated through a lot of hard work by the lawyers and staff at the firm. AMLC is proud to mark the success of the first of its partner sabbaticals. Wes is returning to the office refreshed and energetic, but sadly has not become a polyglot or an Instagram influencer during his time away.
